The MAYDAY Fund was pleased to support a special session at the 17th World Congress on Pain hosted by the International Association for the Study of Pain. The session, “Breaking Through the Clutter: A Primer on Communicating Science and Health to the Public,” provided attendees with the skills they need to engage effectively with non-scientific audiences. A shortened version of the Mayday Fellowship training program, participants learned how to speak with brevity and maintain accuracy using messages, storytelling and other tools to make the most of opportunities to speak to journalists, funders, policymakers and the public.

The following packet contains tip sheets and resources provided to participants. For more information about The Mayday Pain & Society Fellowship: Communicating Science & Improving Care, please visit: https://www.maydayfund.org/mayday-fellows/.
